Dog Walking for the Happiness & Health of Your Dog

Below you will find some general questions and answers that may help you better understand the services provided by a professional dog walker. I look forward to hearing from you so we can mutually discuss the health and happiness of your dog.

What is your service area?
I provide dog-walking services in:
Colorado:
Northern Boulder County locations include: Longmont, Lyons, Hygiene, Niwot and Boulder.
Florida:
Northern Pinellas County locations include: Palm Harbor, East Lake, Countryside and Dunedin.

Where do you walk the dogs?
I try to go somewhere different everyday, although I do have my favorites...
Colorado:
In Northern Boulder County McIntosh Lake and Golden Ponds.
Florida:
In Northern Pinellas County John Chesnut and Hammock Park.

Wide walking trails, overgrown Hammocks for shade and plenty of water are must haves. Some days we just have off leash playtime!

Do you provide long-term vacation care?
Yes I do provide vacation care. Please contact me for details and rates.

How often will you check in on the dogs each day? What other services will you provide while I am away?
Canine Cardio Company believes that exercise is the key to a happy, well balanced and socialized dog. With that said, for an additional fee I will care for dogs when their owners are out of town on business or on vacation. Each situation is different and will be taken on a case-by-case basis. Most times I will care for the dog, as if it is my own, preferably in my home and will include at least one group walk per day. I will make concessions for other family members such as cats or birds if need be.

What if my dog is very territorial and does NOT get along with other dogs?
I do not accept aggressive dogs. All dogs must be currently licensed with tags and be up to date with all shots, vaccinations and flea/worm/tick treatment. Dogs must be spayed or neutered. This is for your dogs' protection as well as others.

Are there any discounts for multiple dogs?
Yes, I do offer a discount for two or more dogs! I even offer a spoiled rotten package for dogs that want to spend the entire day with me!

Is an in-home consult necessary before taking care of my pets?
This is a must! You need to make sure you and your pet(s) are comfortable with me and vice versa. The consultation takes about 30 minutes and I gather information about your pet's routines and needs and have you sign necessary forms. Keys to your home are normally transferred at this visit as well. NOTE: Please contact me at least 1 week before you need pet care services to set up the initial consultation. I cannot provide pet care services before this important meeting takes place. Appointments can be scheduled Monday-Thursday up to 7 p.m.

What forms do I need to sign?
All professional dog walkers have a contract that explains the terms of service, as well as pet profiles that give us important information about the temperament of your pet, feeding regimen, exercise and play likes/dislikes, medical history and conditions, etc. There is also a pet owner contact form and, if necessary, a veterinary release for emergency treatment.

Why do you need a house key?
Professional dog walkers keep keys for regular clients so that we don't have to keep picking them up and returning them ($10 charge for each repeat key pick-up). Keeping a key on file also allows me to provide last minute or emergency visits when needed. Keys are kept in a secure location and are coded so no personal ID information is available.

When is payment due?
Payment for one time or infrequent walks is due at the time of service. Clients who book at least 3 walks per week are billed every two weeks, on the 1st and 15th of the month. A late fee of $10.00 will be applied if payment is not made within seven days of the invoice date.
